This Week in Death: Drew Parker, UK Excursions, Matt Tremont & MidDeathPro

The IWTV Championship Goes Extreme

For some time now, Deathmatch fans and talents have been clamoring for some representation in the IWTV Title ranks and it appears they’ve gotten just that. Over Wrestival weekend, “The Bulldozer” Matt Tremont added yet another accolade to his illustrious career as he captured the IWTV Independent Wrestling World Championship. This occurred during IWTV’s Class of ’22 in a star-studded Gauntlet Match. This match was announced following the untimely vacating of the Championship by former Champion, Krule. Matt Tremont last defeated “Any Style” Adam Priest to become the 12th individual to hold the IWTV Championship. Top Rope Writing congratulates Matt Tremont on this tremendous accolade of winning his first recognized World Championship.

Spotlight: MidDeathPro

In 2020, I got my first look at the Midwest’s No Ring Deathmatch scene through Timebomb Pro, based out of North Dakota. With Timebomb moving onto bigger Ring shows, that No Ring sweet tooth is now being satiated by MidDeathPro. In their first three events, MidDeath has already featured the likes of HoodFoot, Satu Jinn, Remington Rhor, and MidDeathPro’s current Champion: The Carver. All three of these events are available for free and in full on MidDeath’s YouTube channel. You can also see MidDeathPro live as they make their Las Vegas debut on Friday, January 27th. Scheduled to compete at the event is The Carver, Dr. Redacted, West Coast mainstay Funny Bone, and Keaton Stoneburner.
