Jun Kasai to Wrestle for NJPW; El Desperado to Face Jon Moxley in a Final Death Match
New Japan Pro Wrestling’s STRONG brand will be hosting a two day event entitled Independence Day live from Korakuen Hall in Tokyo on July 4th and 5th. Leading up to Independence Day, El Desperado made the plea to none other than “The Crazy Monkey” Jun Kasai to be his partner to take on the team of Jon Moxley and “The Notorious 187” Homicide for Night 1. On June 17th, Kasai would make his first ever appearance for New Japan Pro Wrestling at Esforta Arena Hachioji in Tokyo to personally accept Despy’s offer. And from there, the two teams involved were set for a Doomsday No DQ Tag Team Match.
Following this moment, Jon Moxley would appear via video to lay down one more challenge. Jon Moxley would challenge El Desperado to a Final Death Match if either man survived the impending chaos of July 4th. El Desperado would accept and now we have two intense matchups set for Nights 1 & 2 of Independence Day. Both nights will be streaming live on Pay Per View through New Japan World and you can follow New Japan World on Twitter for updates.

Abdullah Kobayashi vs Toru Sugiura? Big Japan vs FREEDOMS?
We have some interesting developments coming out of Pro Wrestling FREEDOMS’ most recent event on June 9th. Following an Armored Gale Deathmatch where Abdullah Kobayashi & Takashi Sasaki came out victorious over Kazumi Kikuta & Toru Sugiura, Toru would lay down a challenge for Kobayashi. In the middle of the Pro Wrestling FREEDOMS ring, Toru Sugiura challenged Abdullah Kobayashi for his Big Japan Pro-Wrestling Deathmatch Heavyweight Championship. While nothing has been announced yet, this challenge alone could bring together both of Japan’s big Deathmatch companies for a big time collision or crossover. I look forward to the future developments, and you can follow follow both FREEDOMS and BJW on Twitter for updates.
