This Week in Death: NGI 8, Casanova Valentine, FREEDOMS, ICWNHB & King of the Deathmatches 2023

As we truly enter the end of the year, there has been a notable absence in Game Changer Wrestling’s calendar of events. For the past three years, the Nick Gage Invitational Tournament has become a November tradition, and yet there has been no presence of the tournament on the company’s calendar. It has now been confirmed that the eighth edition of the Nick Gage Invitational will be taking place on December 30th. This Nick Gage Invitational announcement came from the mouth of GCW promoter Brett Lauderdale on a recent edition of GCW’s Official Podcast through the company’s Patreon.

The past seven Nick Gage Invitationals have been won by an absolute who’s who of elite Deathmatch talents. This tournament has netted winners like Masashi Takeda, Matt Tremont, Alex Colon, John Wayne Murdoch, and the tournament’s namesake: Nick Gage. Now on December 30th, we will see who gets to join the likes of these men as Nick Gage Invitational 8 emanates live from The Terminal at The Showboat Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey as part of GCW’s New Year’s Weekend. While tickets are not yet available, you can follow GCW on Twitter for updates.

As mentioned previously in past editions of This Week in Death, Casanova Valentine is set to be making his maiden voyage to Japan. Up to this point, we’ve only had a passing hint at when we could see Casanova through a recent announcement from Deathmatch Innovative Element (D.I.E.). It has now been confirmed when and where you can find Brooklyn Black Death in the Land of the Rising Sun throughout the month of November..

November 11th: Hiroshima
November 12th: Shinkiba
November 15th: Korakuen Hall (Tokyo)
November 19th: Yokohama
November 23rd: Kanazawa City
November 26th: Nagoya Diamond Hall
November 27th: Shinkiba

As it turns out, Casanova Valentine will not be the only thing making the journey from the United States to Japan. Announced for November 6th is Barroom Blitz; the joint No Ring Deathmatch production of Casanova Valentine’s New Fear City, and partner company Circle 6. This event will be the first ever international edition, emanating from Yokohama, Japan. While tickets are not yet available, you can follow Casanova Valentine on Twitter for updates.
